I never actually got round to filling this out. I'm originally a Manc, but have defected to the other side of the Pennines and live in Sowerby Bridge just outside Halifax now. I've been a Raiders fan since I first saw highlights of Super Bowl XVIII on World of Sport, I think it was. Sadly I'm just the wrong side of 40 AND DID I MENTION I'M GOING TO WATCH THE CHIEFS GAME THIS YEAR
Sorry it's going to be my first visit and I'm really buzzing. Our football (sorry I refuse to call it soccer) sees me coming from the red side of Manchester. I used to have a season ticket but gave it up a few years ago. If any of you are ever in the Halifax area give me a shout, I'm always up for a beer!!
Might give you a shout one day, i do a fair bit of work at HBOS in Halifax.
I wrote my details here ages ago, Paul from near Bury, Lancs. Originally from 'dan saff but married a northerner.
Seen two Raider games, one in 2000 and 2001, amazing time, had a pre-game pass so i met a ton of great people. The tailgate parties are superb though, you meet a lot of ex players from the 70's/80's there.
Hopefully go again soon, the wife hates american footy but a holiday over to San Francisco i'm sure she wont turn down (Has to be Sept-Dec though)
Gutted by whats happened the last 7 years but must admit LOVE watching the games on Gamepass

Hi all, i've been following the Raiders since 4 started showing the sport back in the '80s, live on dartmoor in devon (so freezing my ass off at the mo!)
Another who's come across after Vann's ban and liking what i see so i'd expect i'll be here for a while
Welcome all. Glad there is a nice mix of people around. ALL are welcome as long as you play nice
Whereabouts on Dartmoor do you live. I used to live in Bovey Tracey in the early 90's!!
Started off in Bere Alston, living in Horrabridge now.

Howdy there - I'm a Pats fan (obviously) here for a friend.
I might hang around if you're good fun
LOL, good to see you here mate, and cheers for the supportive comments.
Stick around and we just might show you how to rip us off again .
Moss for Bowie ? Good Grief.
Then again Micheal Haynes was worth everything we paid for him

I work for HBOS, sorry LBG, in Copley. Well I do at the moment anyway
If you're about give me a shout. Last years trip was on my own as the Mrs hates sport in general. Enjoyed the experience, just a shame the Raiders couldn't give me a win. Saw the Cal Bears as well which I really enjoyed. San Francisco is a really great city.
Planning on going again next year, but a couple of mates seem keen this year, even though they aren't Raiders fans. Would like to go in September this year though as want to take in a Giants baseball game as well. Just hope the new season fixtures allow me to see both the Bears and the Giants as well as the Raiders, fingers crossed.

Moss for Bowie ? Good Grief.
But to be fair 30 other NFL teams wouldnt even top a 4th round pick for Moss so they look just as stupid.
We all knew Moss hadnt lost it, just was totally fed up in that Art Shell year (dont blame him). Even though it was NE it was great to see Moss back to his best.

Just made me sick to see what Moss was capable of under the right conditions!

Totally, was so happy when we got him. Started off well with two 100 yard games in two weeks, then got injured but carried on playing (perhaps a mistake), wasnt himself the rest of the year bar the final week.
Granted in 2006 he totally wasnt bothered but i dont blame him, granted i'm not the one getting paid millions but it was just embarassing that year. Tom Walsh coming out of retirement thinking ints 1990 all over again, terrible. Thats what puts me off Cable, no other team would give him a HC job

Orginally from North Wales now working and teaching York.
Followed the Raiders since the Superbowl run in 02 when I was 15ish. Loved the Buccs D but fell in love with the Silver and Black.
We've been pretty awful ever since but once your hooked your hooked.

As I said before, welcome to the site.
So you started supporting the Raiders after the Superbowl. And they have gone downhill since!
Interesting!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy posting!

Again, welcome!
Going to N Ireland by choice or does the RAF part of your handle mean you are a serving member and have been posted?
Whatever the reason I'm sure you will have a great time there.

Guys, just signed up.
Been keen on the Raiders for a while but I'm not gonna lie to you, I've never been a HUGE follower.
I intend to change that going forward as I've rekindled my interest in the greatest sport on earth (well it's tied with our own kinda real football but you catch my drift
).
Anyway, pleased to meet you all in advance.
I'm based in Edinburgh so would be good to get an idea of how many more of you are up my neck of the woods.
Adios.
