The Saints offence is one of the best in the league. This is a good test for our D.

terrible, just terrible. On both sides of the ball.

I know its only a pre -season game but the first string were out in the first half, at which point we were 31 - 0 down.

Anyone else got the feeling that this may be a long season?

This could be a really long season. That's 600+ rushing yards we've given up, granted not all against the 1st string, but even so...........

On a more positive note, Russell did quite well, apart from the one fumble where he held onto the ball too long again, but good progress certainly.

The Saints had the game plan that is worrying me.

They showed exactly how to gang up on our running game and then exploit our young receiving corps.

This was awful.

We couldn't stop their pass rush and couldn't open up any real gaps fpr the RB's. The defense couldn't stop anything. All in all a pitiful performance and even though this "only a pre-season game" it doesn't feel good to get hammered like that.

There is obviously a lot of work to be done before meeting the Seahawks but they really need do to get themselves sorted out before the season starts.

They need to learn to play football. Sad God it was shocking.

As Manc said 634 yards rushing given up in 3 games at 5.2 yards a go. That has to end before we play the Chargers.

Don't see how! They haven't appeared to have done anything to improve the D against the run. We will see what happens with the Seahawks.

Guess what the headlines are gonna be?

Edgerrin James, off the scrap heap and over a ton against the Raiders D.

Bank on it.

A great player who can still contribute for the Seahawks, but his stats will look a lot better than the should when boosted by going up against our poor run D.
