Thing is that NFLUK has a big base; so if you want to find out stuff then that where to go....and they have a say in things for the UK fans.

NFLUK is great for some of the breaking news regarding tv deals etc, i browse there now but i never post.

I cant believe this idiot...

Sky Sunday Night Coverage 2010 - NFL UK Forums

Sky sunday night coverage 2010 - sounds like Sky will be showing SNF games, but nope, hes talking about the 'night' games at 6pm and 9pm, stupid !!!

But with the amount of 14 year old Patriot fans, the totally ridiculous 'they havent got a brain' duhhh 'who i should i support ?' threads - 20 pages of why to support Detroit or the Rams and then 'surprise surprise' at the end of the huge long thread its 'I've chosen New England' !

Plus combining one or two certain mods who seem to let the same person off with a tickle, i've given up there.  I didnt want to do a 'rah rah rah i'm going, you lot smell...' type goodbye thread some people do though.

At the end of the day i just want to talk to Raider fans, having the odd thread hijacked by some plum with 'al davis is crap' or 'raiders suck' is boring.

But yeah i've learnt to stay away from game threads as people are either a play ahead (If i'm watching on gamepass people must get the latest latest score from the net) plus people always mention other games.

Still cant believe the majority dont watch games on Gamepass, yeah there were issues last year but its still worth getting, watching the Raiders play compared to just seeing score updates on ESPN or listening to field pass, just doesnt compare

Just paid 40 pounds for a 3 month T-Mobile broadband stick and I am impress; it can go up to 3.6 mb, but just getting 1 mb is great. Over the weekend I will give live247.tv a shot and see how live games are played on this stick. If this work then there a chance I will cancel my broadband go with this pay as you go deal...the great thing is that you don't have to sign up for 12 months.

I'm with BT, theyre not the cheapest but i work at home so need a decent connection.  Went to go with that free carphone warehouse package ages ago but because its free it sounds like 'some' people can have a nightmare with it.  I hated the way i couldnt talk to a person when i wanted to ask some questions, everything was automated or email only.

I'm happy with BT though, fast enough for Gamepass so thats all that matters !

Well I got to give Virgin a call today and either cancel or get a engineer to look at my broadband; only problem is that calls go to India and I really have a hard time on what they are saying. I'm paying for 10 mb and only getting 300 k download in which I know would cause major problem with watching the Raiders online...

But the great thing is that when I cancel; I can still be online with my Laptop using mobile broadband; only giving me 2 GB a month but that still a lot...

Normally if it wasn't for the Raiders being online; I would not really care about changing, but I do need to get about at least 1 mb to watch the game online.

Holy crap SR, you only get 300kbs dl speeds?  Where do you live, the Outer Hebrides?  Could you go to speedtest.net, do the test and copy and embed the results into here please.  For that little speed, you either have a serious line problem with lots of noise, are about 20 miles from an exchange or Virgin need to seriously sort their lives out.

I have never, ever, heard of somebody with such a rediculously low speed.  I also think some compensation may well be in order too.

I think it the modem; it the old NTL one  and it about  6 to 7 years old. I have try sorting it out with Virgin but the customer service is real bad because you are talking to someone in India who make it their mission to say it not help you.

Speedtest is giving me about 300 k on the download and it on a cable line; was getting up to 2 mb a few month ago.

Have you tried your phone line?  I know it sounds silly but if you have a lot of noise on the line that can seriously affect your speeds.  Do you know how far away from the exchange you are?

Got an engineer  coming this morning, so I will see on what they say; basically if he say there nothing wrong or it the computer, then I will be cancelling and go BT...I mean internet from Virgin has been great up until now and this the first time I have called them out to check the line.

But you are right about the phone; I do get some crackling noise sometime...

That could be the reason why you are having problems with slow speeds.  If you do change and ask for the mac, please, please I beg you do NOT go with BT.  They can be even worse and their hubs are fooking aweful.  I have friends that are offline atm and cannot figure out why.

May I suggest bethere.co.uk.  It is ADSL broadband delivering up to 24mbs down and 2.4 mbs up which is the best out there.  I have been with them for 2 years and never had a problem.  The beauty them is that there is no fixed contract to sign to and when they say unlimited bandwidth, they mean unlimited.  No fair useage policy etc.  Due to my work this is essential and can download/upload over 300GB a month.  They have never questioned this at all.

I will see what Virgin say when they come to check it sometimes this morning;  I would rather stay with Virgin because this is the first time that i have had a problem; and you are talking about 7 years or longer.

For changing; I don't have a BT phone line but a Virgin phoneline; can bethere.co.uk use a Virgin phoneline !

you do but you have a phone, yes?  I know it is a round about way but you'd have to pay rental to BT anyway so why not do Talk Talk for the same price as BT with a load more extras and add bethere on top Wink
