The Raiders completed their second practice session Thursday without wide receiver Chaz Schilens, who left the field early on the session accompanied by a member of the athletic training staff and did not return to the field.

Schilens, who missed the first eight games of the season with a broken metatarsal on his left foot and had two surgeries since, was not limping and its not known if his foot was the problem.

About 30 minutes after practice, Schilens emerged from the hotel and walked back to the field house and still was not walking without a limp.

The Raiders had no comment on Schilens’ early exit and the interview sessions had concluded for the day.

Practice resumes Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday’s second session contained a few team sessions and some seven-on-seven sessions which went beyond the walk-through “learning intensive” pattern of the morning practice, with the defense mostly getting better of the offense in terms of defending the pass.

I hope he is ok! We don't need to lose him this early.

DHB still has a lot of work to do, We need a healthy Chaz this year , so DHB can come along slowly without pressure.

On the Road: Raiders on Day 6 - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Second-year WR Darrius Heyward-Bey(notes) doesn’t appear to have progressed in the subtle parts of the game. Again, this is based on limited action because Heyward-Bey only had three passes thrown his way during a brief seven-on-seven portion of a non-contact practice.
On his first play, Heyward-Bey did a nice job of turning veteran CB Nnamdi Asomugha(notes) around with a hard inside move and then a change of direction to the sideline. However, when the pass from QB Jason Campbell(notes) came up short, Heyward-Bey wasn’t able to fight through Asomugha to get the ball. That’s really disappointing because those are the kinds of plays that he needs to make to become a legit receiver in the NFL.
The obvious problem with Heyward-Bey is that everything he has done to this point is based solely on using his speed to get into open spaces. He doesn’t use his body well to shield defenders or create space. Given that Heyward-Bey has the speed and size (he’s a solidly built 6-foot-2, 210 pounds) to do just about anything required of a receiver. His ability to develop those other skills is crucial to his chance for success.

Still got Murpy who might end up being better than Bey!

Bey was a dumb draft pick; about 5 wr's were drafted after him and all are player better Bey.
