BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man City | Eriksson's reign at Man City ends

It has been on the cards for a while, but is this good news or bad news watchman?

It means city was brought by the Malay Peter Swails. I've never seen a pic of the new owner. So I must ask does he have a bad comb over as well? Grin

well I think the owner is wrong and he's not someone that I wanted owning the club in the first place.

At least its not dragged on anymore and it could be we have a new man in place by the end of the week. We cant afford to faf about.

Hughes will be good, as long as Chelsea dont sneak in and nab him first.

Is he really a possibility for the Chelsea job? I thought they had much higher aspirations.

Hughes was on a short list for the Chelsea job. He played successfully for them for a few years after leaving Utd.
Its now official as well - he's the new City boss. Quite excited - he did well at Blackburn with limited budgets and I hope he can do the same at City.

Quite excited about his appointment and I didn't think I would be.

I take it that he will still be working with a limited budget?

Is all this excitement good for you?  Roll Eyes

Just hope it's like the last United legend to manage City. That being Steve Coppell Wink

no he'll have money - but he's done well without maybe he doesn't need it. All the excitement has done me in - I need a drink.

The trouble with giving them money, is that they are likely to spend it and it doesn't always help. However, I'm sure he will be sensible about it and he could be the best move that City have made in a while.

If it wasn't so early I might have joined you in a cold one.  Grin

Dont worry I had a cold one, I think the person who wants to spend his money is our owner. I get the feeling that he believes you have to have big name superstars to win things....

And we all know that it isn't the case. Better to have players that will play for one another as a team.
